We couldn’t be prouder to host an honor-filled grill-out for our cherished Veterans on Saturday, June 17th! We believe in giving back, and this event is a chance for us to say ‘Thank you’ to all the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
But wait, there’s more! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be joined by a special guest. Evelyn Green, the crown holder of Miss Teen Wisconsin 2022, will be gracing the occasion with her presence.
Here at Kunes, we’re more than just about cars. We’re about our community and our country. That’s why we’ve been proud sponsors of the “Patriotism Reigns Scholarship” associated with the Miss Teen Wisconsin competition. This unique scholarship is awarded based on essays penned by these inspiring young women, detailing how they infuse patriotism into their day-to-day lives. The essays are thoughtfully evaluated by an independent panel, ensuring a fair and unbiased process.
Come down to celebrate and honor our Veterans from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The day will be filled with tasty burgers, mouthwatering brats, and sizzling hot dogs fresh off the grill, served alongside crispy chips and refreshing soda. And the best part? If you’re a Veteran or currently serving, your meal is on us!
Evelyn is excited to take time to share a few words with our guests. She’ll discuss the “Patriotism Reigns Scholarship” essay, delve into Kunes’ wholehearted support for the award, and shine a light on the empowering work of the Miss Teen Wisconsin Organization. She’ll also talk about the numerous scholarships these outstanding young women are awarded and the impactful ways they’re involved in their communities.

We want to extend a special shoutout to Eve Vanden Heuvel, Miss Teen Wisconsin 2021 and a four-time recipient of the Patriotism Reigns Scholarship.
